Church of St Edmund

The Parish Church of St Edmund was first erected many centuries ago and since then much had changed in the lovely town of Downham Market, Norfolk. However, the one thing that has remained consistent throughout all these years is the life of this Church.

Our wonderful church shows the devotion and ingenuity of our forbears and their faith to god.

To put a number on the amount of people who have came to this lovely Norfolk church to be baptised or get married would be near impossible, the people who have visited the church alone in order to practice their religion would be incomprehensible.

For the best part of a thousand years, men and women of all ages have entered our Church, a haven of silence, peace and beauty, to admire, to think, to pray, or to contemplate.
