Fishermans Return

The Fishermans Return is a 300 year old pub located in the heart of Winterton-on-Sea on the stunning Norfolk Coast, nestled just behind the dunes and marshes, just a short walk away from endless gorgeous beaches.

This lovely very popular pub full of character, has been lovingly run for over a hundred years by just four owners and Darrin who is the latest landlord, welcomes everyone including well behaved dogs and children, to enjoy the ambience. 

Our Specials board changes regularly and with the seasons. The food is freshly prepared using local produce whenever possible and of course being close to the sea, means freshly caught fish features hugely on the menu and all our meat and game is sourced from local butchers.

The Fishermans Return recently created a lovely function room which features its own private bar and beer garden and can seat up to eighty people. 

The Fishermans Return offers lovely bed and breakfast accommodation.  There are five rooms to choose from, each beautifully appointed and luxurious with a choice of twin or double beds, quality fittings, a flat screen TV & drinks facilities in the room. Full English breakfast is included in your stay.

Our family room is charged at £150 and sleeps four.

Winterton-on-Sea is a lovely village situated on the Norfolk Coast surrounded by dunes, marram grass and fantastic sandy beaches. which are renowned for excellent sea fishing. Bike enthusiasts will appreciate the level terrain and the quiet roads to the north and north-west of Winterton, and for those with a head for heights, the village church claims to be the highest in Norfolk. It is a superb example of 12th century building by the monks of St Benets Abbey. Winterton is very close to the Norfolk Broads with all its Nature Reserves and waterways to explore too.
