Autumn Tours: Sunday 3rd November
11am-12noon, 1pm-2pm and 3pm-4pm
A wonderful opportunity to join one of our knowledgable gardeners in Spring, Summer or Autumn to view the private gardens at Holkham Hall, which are normally closed to the public. See how the gardens change throughout the seasons, from the spectacular arboretum with its many unusual and rare specimen trees to the intricate patterns of the formal parterres on the terraces surrounding the hall.
See the Magnolia and Tulip trees in the spring, the new foliage emerging on the acres and the carpet of bluebells in a variety of colours. In summer, learn about the valuable work of the Gardens Department at Holkham and how they maintain the formal parterres, designed by leading landscape gardener, W.A Nestfield in the 19th century - whose work can also be seen at Kew Gardens. As the autumn months roll around, so too do the beautiful colours and tones of the season.
Tickets: Adult £10, Child (2-16 years incl.) £5. Pre-booking is essential as these tours are popular. Tickets will be available shortly.
We are sorry, but dogs are not permitted on the tours. A £3 parking charge applies in Holkham park.
Please ensure that you are outside the Ticket Office 10 minutes before the tour is due to start and a member of the landscape team will be there to meet you. The gardens you will visit are located in the private area surrounding the hall and therefore it is imperative that everyone is gathered before moving off.
