Gorsey Meadow

Gorsey Meadow is a secluded, beautiful area for Glamping and Camping, just on the outskirts of Norwich in the heart of Norfolk, which provides a haven of peace and tranquility, allowing you an escape from the merry go round of life.

We have brand new tents and bespoke bases for the 2017 season along with one or two other improvements. Exclusive hire for groups available.

The space is great for children to enjoy exploring and experiencing nature in a safe environment, from inquisitive rabbits and strutting pheasants, songbirds in the hedgerows and tawny owls in the oak trees. We even have our own bug hotel! However please ensure that they are accompanied at all times as there are natural dangers in the woodland such as ponds and inedible mushrooms.

We offer a maximum of five bell tents, which come with double mattresses and/or single quality air beds with excellent quality bedding, a double ring gas cooker with gas, crockery, cutlery, charcoal bbq, lantern, cool box and much more. Guests are to provide their own towels.

If however, you prefer to pitch your own tent or arrive in a camper van all you need do is choose a spot to stop, perfect for mid week booking as availability of PYO is limited at weekends.

There is a hot water shower and a separate loo and butler sink available and there is a composter loo amongst trees. Only eco soap and shampoo to be used please.

There are two fire pits with plenty of seating around them, wood can be purchased by the barrow load. As there is no electricity, the glow of the fire pits provides a lovely romantic atmosphere.

We have a shop which contains essentials to purchase such as Charcoal, fire lighters, matches, water and marshmallows for toasting. There are also a number of candles for outside use only to borrow during your stay. We appreciate a donation for replacement candles should you use them.

There is also a Shed which contains local tourism leaflets, books for adults and children to borrow and a few things to help keep children occupied during your stay. Please ensure all are returned before you leave for the next guests to enjoy.

Gorsey is a tranquil, car free zone, so after emptying your car, please park on the designated Gorsey pad on the main house drive.
