Norfolk Disabled Friendly Cottages

We are a family run business providing 8 self catering cottages designed to accommodate the disabled and their family and friends to ensure a holiday for all.

Our cottages are all warm and welcoming for the abled as well as the disabled.

They are situated on a converted farmyard on the outskirts of the quiet village of Bircham. We are situated about five miles from the Royal Estate at Sandringham and seven miles from the North Norfolk Coast. It is in an area of natural beauty but it is essential that you have a car.

The properties are all renovated farm buildings which have been converted to a high standard and have between 2 and 5 bedrooms.

We pride ourselves on the personal touch we provide and we understand the very special needs of those in a wheelchair along with the needs of their families and carers.

All of our cottages are wheelchair accessible, having level access and an open plan room layout including, en-suite 'roll-in' wet rooms and purpose built low-level kitchens, especially designed for wheelchair users, their families and carers.

Each has its own personal garden. 

The beds are all made up with crisp, fresh linen, including duvet covers, fitted sheets and pillow cases. Blankets are available at request. We do not provide towels so you will need to bring your own. At least one bathroom in each property comes complete with a commode chair and grab rails.

For those wet days or for a night in in front of the telly, each cottage has a DVD player & a selection of board games. We also have wireless access to the internet which you can link to if your lap top is compatible. You will need to acquire a password from the office for a fee.

Our start day is a Saturday and the smaller, 2 bedroomed cottages are available from 2pm and need to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. The larger cottages are available from 4pm and need to be vacated at 12 noon on the day of departure.

There is even stabling available if you wanted to bring your horse or pony.

We provide wireless access to the internet and have a selection of equipment such as hoists, wheelchairs etc. available to hire.
