Pinkfoot Gallery

Pinkfoot Gallery is based on the beautiful North Norfolk coast in a village called Cley next the Sea. If you visit the gallery you will find a stunning collection of Modern British Nature paintings, hand-made prints, prints and sculpture. We are open everyday and look forward to meeting you.

We feature modern British artwork that is inspired by nature. We have a diverse collection of artists, known collectively as ‘The Pinkfoot Artists’. Our work ranges from the abstract to the realistic, from oils to encaustic techniques and from prints to porcelain. We have a large part of the gallery dedicated to sculpture, including amazing woodcarvings to a large bird and animal bronze collection. From time to time the Pinkfoot Gallery migrates, holding exhibitions across the country.

Sarah runs the gallery and her background is in publishing and art. In 1992 she set up the Wildlife Art Agency, a company which specialise in wildlife illustration and book packaging. As well as running the gallery, Sarah continues her freelance natural history writing career. Sarah has recently formed a publishing company, called Red Hare Publishing, to publish books about Norfolk, which can be found here: www.redharepublishing.co.uk

Rachel Lockwood is part owner of the gallery and a professional artist.  Rachel leaves the running of the gallery to Sarah and spends all her time in her studio on the edge of Cley.

Rachel describes her work as contemporary British art inspired by nature.

The Pinkfoot Gallery approached Robin Bouttell, one of the UK's best wildlife sculptors, to commission a special collection of miniature bronze sculptures. Each bronze is signed and editioned by Robin, and each one is made in the UK, supporting traditional bronze foundries. The minimum size is 6cm tall up to the tallest, which is 15cm. These beautiful bronzes come in to their own when held, then their weight and patination can truly be appreciated.

The bronze casting 'loss wax' process hasn't changed for thousands of years.

Pinkfoot Prints are produced on a quality art paper with light fast inks. All the runs are limited and signed by the artists. If we fall in love too much with one of our artist's paintings, to lessen the wrench when it goes, we approach the artist to see if they are willing to produce a small limited run of prints.

Pinkfoot Prints vary in edition number and artist. Pinkfoot Prints are digitally produced and should not be confused with hand-made prints, such as linocuts and engravings etc.
