Rising Sun Coltishall

The Rising Sun is a traditional Norfolk Broad’s pub that overlooks the beautiful River Bure at Coltishall. As well as serving generations of boaters who are able to take advantage of free moorings right outside the pub and all other very welcome holiday makers, the Rising Sun is also a popular venue for local people. 

The views over the marshlands are lovely and if you are lucky, the cows grazing the marshes on the opposite bank provide quite a bit of entertainment as they gingerly negotiate their way down the bank for a drink.

Come and enjoy just  drink by the river or light lunch bites or indeed a full blow hearty choice of real pub food with a strong selection of delicious fish dishes on offer. Vegetarian options are available too. Finish off with a tempting pud or ice cream sundae.

Local real ales such as Adnams and Woodfordes are served in the bar as well as a selection of fine wines by the glass or bottle. We also stock a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks to suit adults and children alike as well as teas and speciality coffees which are available throughout the day.

We are a dog friendly pub and welcome well behaved dogs on leads in the bar and bar dining areas. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant. Please mention when booking if you are bringing a dog so that we may allocate a suitable table. If a dog needs food or water please take them outside where water bowls are provided.
