Converted from an old threshing barn Running Hare Barn provides all the mod cons you would expect for a modern holiday property, including many eco friendly features while retaining many of it's original features and character.
The accommodation is split over 3 levels and it's 5 bedrooms can accommodate up to 10 guests. Three of the bedroom are en-suite and there is also a family bathroom. With lots of space to enjoy it is perfect for extended families and groups of friends looking to relax or explore all that Norfolk has to offer from stunning beaches and countryside with big skies to quaint Broadland villages.
Features a fully equipped oak kitchen plus a unique wooden dining table comfortably seating up to 16 people.
Large glass windows have replaced the original barn threshing doors, letting in plenty of natural light. The windows at ground floor level are screened with louvred shutters, to maintain privacy for you and for the Old Piggery yard, which is on the other side. The open plan atrium extends up through the building to the beamed roof at the top. There are comfy sofas and arm chairs for you to relax in and a radio/CD player. French doors open out into the paved yard.
By the French doors is a sectioned off area which can be used for storage, space for coats, boots and dog items or even for soggy dogs themselves whilst they’re drying off.
Again, there are plenty of comfy sofas and chairs and amazing views over the fields. It has a large 65” curved screen smart TV/DVD and home theatre system.
There is underfloor heating from a ground source heat pump and a mechanical ventilation and filtration heat recovery system, which continually provides the building with fresh, filtered air. Both are powered by our own on site renewable generation.
There is a fully enclosed grassed garden to the front of the barn, leading through a gate to the large paved yard area. The walled yard is also fully enclosed with raised flower beds, plenty of space and can also be accessed through the French doors in the Atrium. It has a large table and chairs and a gas barbeque. The covered area under the eaves of the barn has a warm dog shower and an additional fridge and freezer.
The Old Piggery is a single storey barn conversion featuring an open plan living area/kitchen and wood burner. Sleeping up to 6 guests, it offers three bedrooms, one en suite, plus a family bathroom.
The open plan kitchen/dining area has a large breakfast bar and separate dining table and chairs. It has a well equipped, fully fitted kitchen including electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave oven.
The sitting area has comfy sofas and arm chairs, plus a large flat screen TV/DVD/CD/home theatre. In the reclaimed brick fireplace is a wood burning stove for colder weather (wood supplied). French doors open out into the secure yard.
At the far end of the sitting area is a large cupboard full of dog towels, throws etc. and there’s plenty of room here for dog beds/crates. Another set of French doors lead out into a covered area with the log store and an additional fridge and freezer.

The large paved yard is fully enclosed, providing a secure area for your dogs. The raised and cobbled flower beds add a bit of extra character. There is gas barbeque and outdoor furniture for you to relax in and watch the sunset after a busy day’s exploring. At the front of the Old Piggery there is a small grassed area.
Running Hare Barn is on the east side of the yard, however every effort has been made to ensure that the Old Piggery yard is not overlooked and that the two barns have minimal impact on each other.
