Salhouse Broad is a unique broad located on the River Bure between Wroxham and Horning, in the heart of East Anglia. It is 40 acres in size and is part of the Broads executive area, a member of the national park family and with the conservation area.
Salhouse Broad also offers the chance for people to camp in a beautiful setting. The camping corner is a 1 minute walk from the waters edge and is set in a perfect location to watch the Broadland sunsets, have a BBQ and wake up in the morning with the Broads National Park as your garden.
The campsite is open from April- September and pitches are for tents only. Pitches are not marked out, so you are able to plot up wherever takes your fancy.
The camping field is in a secluded location approximately 10 minutes walk from the car park. A limited number of wheelbarrows are provided at the car park to help transport your equipment. We recommend packing light.
Drinking water can be found at the standpipe in the camping field or at the waters edge, with a toilet block located in the car park, portoloos are also provided on the campsite. However there are no showering facilities.
You are most welcome to light fires either in the communal fire pit, or in a moveable fire pit you can bring within your pitch. You can order firewood before your arrival which will then be delivered to your pitch. BBQ's are also welcome here as long as they are raised from the ground, with disposable BBQ's we can provide bricks to raise them from the ground.
Dogs are most welcome here on the Campsite, so feel free to bring your furry friend along with you.
