Sea Life in Great Yarmouth on the lovely Norfolk Coast, has more than 1,500 sea creatures to wonder at, including sharks with sparkling teeth, colourful and curious fish, sea horses bobbing along, clever octopus, creeping crocodiles and not forgetting those comical penguins, all guaranteed to keep the whole family entertained without the need for a snorkel!
Nemo is here too! Prepare to be astonished and amazed by not only the close up views of everything from humble starfish to tropical sharks, but with all of the many strange, beautiful and fascinating creatures of the deep as you journey around the centre.
The centre is currently home to over 50 different displays, including a 250,000 litre Tropical Ocean Display. Our Tunnel is where you can see where you can see the largest inhabitants including Noah a green sea turtle, as they roam around the Lost City of Atlantis themed display.
Whilst you are having fun laughing at their antics, you can also learn about those species that are on the endangered list and those who have been rescued, some of them are not able to be released back into the oceans. Some of the creatures you will see have been bred as part of the Sea Life conservation project too.
We also have a Shark Feeding and Turtle Feeding experiences that you can book, perfect for a birthday present. Again what a thing for the family to try. Not often can anyone say that they have fed sharks for 30 minutes! Then you can experience the ‘Shark Nursery’ which is part of our ongoing breeding program.
SEA LIFE is very successful at breeding Sea Horses which are very delicate and sensitive creatures. To date we have bred nine different species helping to protect them from extinction and this success means that we never take sea horses from the wild and that we may be able to help restock the worlds oceans in the future.
Furthermore, in the tropical rockpool we have cleaner shrimps, who are more than happy to offer you a manicure, plus many more amazing creatures to discover. Don’t miss feeding time at the Humboldt Penguin Pool.
The ‘‘Turtle Shelter’ is a themed exhibit featuring turtles within their natural habitat describing the 200-million year history of these reptiles!
Also come face to face with Ntombi and Masozi, African Dwarf Crocodiles, these sleek and sinister sisters may grow up to 5 feet long!
Take time to browse our extensive gift shop, enjoy a meal or snack in the Restaurant while the children explore our Pirate Ship Soft Play area. Buy an adult meal deal offer in our restaurant and a child eats free!
A great day out for the whole family!! However if you fancy a real treat, book to stay the night and enjoy a sleepover in the centre, so you can watch the fish going about their nocturnal business until you fall asleep, safe in the knowledge that the sharks won't be nibbling at your toes!
