Here at Sutton Staithe Boatyard we are a small and friendly boat yard situated at the end of Sutton Broad and we have lovely day boats for hire
A full day messing about on the Broads is fantastic value and great fun
Our day boats are available all year round, and come with life jackets, tuition, safety instruction and diesel included in the price. (we also have free parking)
Sutton Broad is now owned by the RSPB and is a very important wetland habitat and a wonderfully quite and picturesque place from which to start you trip, or to stop and do a spot of bird watching or fishing, from the boatyard its only a 40 minute trip to the the open waters of Barton Broad, from here you can carry on down the river Ant passing How Hill nature reserve, with ample mooring its a lovely place for a picnic.
Then on to Ludham bridge and beyond to the river Bure where if your having a full day on boards you could visit Horning with its lovely riverside properties and pubs, or visit south Walsham broad or Ranworth Broad, the later has a riverside pub and a church tower that, for those of you with a head for heights you can climb to the top of the tower.
If your plan is for a shorter trip then you can head up the Ant to the quieter waters of Wayford and Dilham , passing the famous Hunset Mil, Or call in at the museum Of The Broads at Stalham.
