The Connaught Bowls Club

The Connaught Bowls Club operates on a volunteer basis. We have a main Management Committee that oversees all business matters. The Ladies Section and the Short Mat Section have their own committee, but they also have representatives in the man Management Committee.  

The Club provides Short Mat Bowls in the winter and Outdoor Bowls in the summer, so you can come and visit us all year round. It is housed in a modern and comfortable pavilion whose facilities include a fully-licensed members’ bar. The bar is run by members on a voluntary basis and charges moderate prices. The pavilion contains two mats for the Short Mat section.

Outdoors the main facility is the full-sized six-rink bowling green maintained to very high standards.

Membership numbers vary from year to year but usually are within a range of 135-160 if all categories are included.

Green and Mat Fees are also payable, as is usual with Bowls Clubs.
