The Lifeboat Inn

The Lifeboat Inn is a traditional coastal hotel with free wi-fi and free parking. It is situated in Thornham village minutes from the stunning sandy beaches on the North Norfolk coast.

Recently refurbished The Lifeboat Inn has a welcoming, history-soaked bar with crackling fires and a selection of real ales, a lounge with comfy sofas, unpretentious and relaxed restaurant and the popular conservatory featuring a 200 year old vine.

The Lifeboat’s restaurant serves seasonal changing menus that represent the very best of British food. You will also find 13 extremely comfortable and inviting bedrooms to snuggle up after a day spent exploring the area.

Stylishly modern and exceptionally comfortable, The Lifeboat Inn offers 13 well-sized double bedrooms for your stay. They feature stylish furniture contrasted with neutral colours that reflect North Norfolk’s landscape.

All bedrooms have pristine en-suite bathrooms, kingsize wooden beds with crisp white bed linen, duck down duvets and pocket sprung mattresses. All our bedrooms also have smart TVs, free wi-fi access and tea and coffee making facilities.

In keeping with The Lifeboat Inn's rich history, each room is named after the crew of the Licensed Victualler’s III, the last pulling lifeboat at the Hunstanton lifeboat station. Photos of which can be found 'below deck' on the ground floor.

The Lifeboat is situated near Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham beaches, the RSPB bird reserve in Titchwell and on the doorstep of the royal estate at Sandringham.

Surrounded as we are by long stretches of untouched beaches, salt-marshes and nature reserves, it's not surprising that North Norfolk is one of the most popular places in the UK for dog walking.

We understand that whether you're here on a day trip or treating your dog to a well-deserved mini-break, your four-legged friends should be as welcome as you are.

We offer thirsty pooches a bowl of water and they can dine with you in our cosy bar or in front of our roaring log fire in the lounge.
