We are close to Walsingham Farms Shop, and serve delicious locally sourced food. We also have a great takeaway fish and chip counter!
Wherever possible we get our produce straight from the producer. We have fresh local meats from our butcher including game from Walsingham Estate Shoot as a speciality, with venison, pheasant and partridge in season, rabbit and pigeon as available.
Our fish for the fish and chip counter is sustainably sourced, and we can also get fresh mussels or crab straight from the fisherman. Our menu is constantly changing while our chef caters to what produce is locally available. We also have a great choice of local Norfolk ales, cider from nearby Wells-next-the-Sea and a very reasonably priced wine list.
Why the Norfolk Riddle?
We named the restaurant after the riddles used to sort potatoes, a key crop here in Norfolk, and part of the answer to the riddle of sustaining farming in the 21st century. We use the finest varieties, grown locally. Some vintage riddles, looking like giant sieves, hang in the restaurant.
