The Old Forge Thursford

The Old Forge located in Thursford in North Norfolk offers comfortable four star bed and breakfast accommodation. There are three en-suite rooms which comprise of a twin with a small shower and a double also with small shower and a larger double room with bathroom.

The rooms are attractive with oak beams forming part of the original 14th century building and are cosy  with digital televisions, free WiFi, tea, coffee, biscuits or home made cake as a special welcoming touch.

A lovely full English Breakfast awaits in the morning if you have room from the lovely food available in the evening from the Seafood Restaurant.

The normal rate is £80.00 per night although special offers appear throughout the year, so watch this space. 

In the Old Forge Restaurant which has been featured on both the BBC and Channel 4, fresh seafood is the speciality and Colin has invented many of his own dishes which are immensely popular with the regulars. Exquisite shrimps from The Wash and succulent pieces of locally caught fish, local crayfish tails cooked with different spices, many of which are grown in the garden and lobster cooked in its own juices are a must.

Lobster, crabs and oysters are purchased daily from the infamous fishermen on the coast at Blakeney and Wells next the Sea and prepared with many of Colin's secret recipes.
