Tinsmith's House is an unusual building of historic interest, beautifully located in Aylsham, just a short walk to the town centre. Aylsham is a bustling market town in North Norfolk, very close to the lovely beaches and Norwich and the Norfolk Broads.
Once through the imposing barn doors of Tinsmith's House, which of course was once a workshop, you enter an inner courtyard and into the ground floor of the house. The living room, dining area and kitchen are open plan with a separate dining room where we serve breakfast that opens onto a charming garden. Both the well appointed double bedrooms are on the first floor.
Both rooms, are decorated in natural colours and are furnished with an eclectic mixture of re-purposed, antique and contemporary furniture.
'Elephant' is the smaller bedroom and it has its own en-suite shower with a large shower stall and cotton towels. There is a Kingsize double bed with hand-sprung, firm mattress, blackout blinds for a good night’s sleep, a radio/CD player and free WiFi, high-quality cotton bed linen tea, coffee and mineral water. There is no TV.
'Blofields' is the larger bedroom which look out over the garden and houses a super-kingsize double bed, high thread count cotton bed linen, a vanity unit, plenty of wardrobe space, TV and DVD player.
The room has exclusive access to a dedicated luxury bathroom across the hallway with a roll-topped bath, cotton towels, cotton bath robes and separate shower stall. There are blackout blinds for a good night’s sleep, bottled mineral water as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Also free WiFi is available.
