Worstead Festival 2019 promises to be a packed weekend of entertainment for all the family!
Friday 26th July – Road Run & Evening
Saturday 27th July – 10am to 6pm
Sunday 28th July – 10am to 6pm
Worstead Festival is a celebration of rural life, farming, and the crafts, produce and heritage of Worstead and North Norfolk.
2019 is the Worstead Festival’s 54th year! The festival was founded in 1965 to raise money to save the village church which was falling into disrepair. The festival is still run entirely by volunteers, and all profits raised are donated to local charitable causes through the Worstead Village Festival Charity grant fund.
Alongside stalls, street food and bars, the festival showcases farming and rural attractions including sheep shearing, alpacas, heavy horses, birds of prey and a sheepdog display – as well as the return of the very popular terrier racing (open to all – bring your dog!). There will be vintage tractors, military vehicles and another Festival return for the Classic cars.
Some of the highlights of the Worstead Festival will be:
Demonstrations from top local chefs
Food & drink from local producers
Made in Worstead craft fair
Heavy horses and vintage farm machinery
Lorry music stage
Dog show and arena entertainment
Grown in Norfolk produce show
Art gallery
Flower show in St Mary’s Worstead
Pimms & Prosecco Bar
…and much much more!
