Bacton
Bacton is a tiny village overlooking the most fabulous beach that is one of those little hidden gems of the North Norfolk coast. It has acres of sand, excellent water clarity and just perfect for a quiet family holiday, especially when the children are armed with buckets and spades! Walkers and nature lover love this area too.
Bacton is also along the route of the Coastal path and the Paston Way, a long distance footpath, passes through on its way to Cromer in one direction and North Walsham in the other. The pretty village of Mundesley is a couple of miles up the coast and the Norfolk Broads just six miles away.
A short distance from the coast is Bacton Woods which quite lovely and well managed. A mixture of conifer, mixed woodland and open areas it is a lovely place to visit. Dogs are very welcome, horses too, so picnics and walking through the woods, what more could you ask for.
There are caravan and chalet parks on the clifftop and the village is served well with pubs, a hotel and restaurant.
