Hunstanton
Renowned for its unique striped cliffs and magnificent sunsets, the seaside resort of Hunstanton has long been a desirable holiday destination. Built in 1846 as a sea bathing resort, it has retained much of its Victorian heritage and offers visitors a true British seaside escape. The ideal destination for families, Hunstanton beach is flanked by a 20-mile stretch of shallow, sheltered water on one side, and the picturesque Hunstanton Green on the other. Whether you take a stroll along the promenade with an ice cream in hand, fly high at the seaside fun fair, take part in one of the town’s seasonal events, or head out on the water to meet the local seal population that calls Hunstanton their home, there’s plenty of reasons to visit this vibrant coastal town. The next beach along at Holme is home to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust reserve where the rare Little Terns nest on the beach and Barn Owls haunt the dunes.
Stand up comedian and musician Bill Bailey and his dog recently walked and explored this area during filming for Walks with my Dog and endorsed Hunstanton along with neighbouring Holme to be one of the most beautiful places he had seen - Come and see why.......
